This church was recorded by the Threatened Buildings Survey on 8 February 2007 prior to proposed alterations including disabled access. The church and linked manse were designed by John Murdoch of Ayr the church being completed in 1885. Alex Mair added the single storey halls in 1933. The original galleried interior of the church survives intact with the organ being inserted by H Hilsden in 1925.
The Darley Hey Plans are now held in the Ayrshire Archives.
