Archaeology Notes

NJ90NW 164 c. 94 06.

The Benedictine abbey and convent 'de Aberdona' is mentioned in a bull of Pope Gregory IX, dated 3 April 1231. This is a mistranscription, the abbey in question being Abingdon.
