Treasured Places (21 August 2007)

The Regal Cinema was designed by architect John Ross McKay in the 'Moderne' style. Opening in 1939, it was managed by Messrs Millar and Walker, who ran cinemas in Armadale, West Calder and Bathgate. By the 1970s, like many smaller cinemas, the Regal was disused and was subsequently demolished, to be replaced by a modern development named 'Regal Grove'.
