Situated on the S bank of the River Don at the outlet of the Powis Burn, just off the Esplanade. Marked ABD CR. Natural features formed the boundary in 1698.

D B (ed.) Gunn 1929; HBD 1965 (Aberdeen).

This granite boundary stone, which is a replacement for an earlier marker, stands on the N side of the public road about 25m S of the confluence of the Powis Burn and the River Don. Rectangular in section, it measures 0.3m in breadth 0.2m in thickness and 0.57m in height. The top of its E face is bevelled and bears an incised omega symbol above the letters ABD; below this, on the vertical part of the face, there are the letters CR, standing for City Royalty.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, AJW), 28 February 1997.
