(NJ 8868 6456) St Drostan's Well (NR)

OS 6" map, (1959)

A spring of pure water, situated 10 chains east of Waulkmill, and described in 1724 as being named after a local bishop.

Name Book 1871.

A natural spring, enclosed within a modern well-head. Inscribed on the well are the words :- "St Drostan's Well 1884 Erected by J Findlater LLD, a native of Aberdour".

Visited by OS (RL) 14 March 1967.
