Archaeology Notes

NJ83NW 9 c. 82 38.

A Late Bronze Age hoard consisting of six armlets, three annular rings, a razor, and three necklets were found in 1866 by workmen when removing some large rocks at the foot of a precipice (? the cliff centred at NJ 820 388) during the construction of a private road from Haddo House to the Braes of Gight. Donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] by John Hamilton in 1925 (Accession No. DQ 275-285).
