Renfrew North Parish Church was recorded as part of an ongoing programme of church recording. In 1843 Renfrew Free Church (one of the earliest in Scotland) was built on the site. The 1843 datestone was installed on the new tower when McKissack and Rowan rebuilt the church in 1882-3.
The U plan galleried interior retains its original Gothic arcades and cast-iron columns. The large pulpit is flanked by staircases and organ pipes. The two stained glass includes two windows by Gordon Webster
