OS 6" map, (1959)
A carved stone ball, 3ins diameter, decorated with six circles of equal diameters, was found a little above the subsoil whilst draining the land in 1836. It is in the possession of Mr A Smith, farmer, Sauchenhillock.
Name Book 1868.
No knowledge of this find at Sauchenhillock.

The present whereabouts of this carved stone ball is not known.
