Watching Brief (15 May 2022 - 16 May 2022)
NJ 21562 62863 A watching brief was conducted in May 2022 for a new gas main to the front of 141 High Street, Elgin in an area known as Plainstones. Only a disarticulate fragment of burnt bone and a rim-sherd of medieval redware pottery was found in an area associated with the former medieval church of St Giles. The area was heavily disturbed by existing services.
