Activities

Note (9 September 2014)

This water tower is of possibly re-inforced concrete (mass concrete would not be strong enough to support water pressure against the walls of the integral water chambers) and dates from c. 1898. This water tower supplied water to Garmouth and Kingston. Owned by Moray Council but leased to a local amenity group, it is now out of use.

Its conical roof makes it reminiscent of a windmill tower.

Visited by RCAHMS (MMD), 9 September 2014.
