The dovecot at Elrick House is a cylindrical roofless building of sixteenth century date with stone nesting boxes.

This cylindrical dovecote stands on a small island in the Burn of Straloch 60m NW of Elrick House (NJ81NE 26.00). Now roofless, it is of rubble construction with a rat-ledge at a height of 2.45m. On the S side, the entrance is rebated externally for a door to open outwards. The interior, which measures 3.63m in diameter, contains 405 nesting boxes constructed of roughly shaped stone slabs.

Circular plan, tower 2 stage doocot with single stone rat course. Rubble with dressed door margins chamfered edges. Located on a small island in the Burn of Straloch.
