NMRS REFERENCE:

Architect: Father Walter Lovi,

(Undated) information in NMRS.

St Thomas's was recorded by the Threatened Buildings Survey in July 2006 prior to proposed alterations. The cruciform church was designed by Father Walter Lovi 1831-2. Charles Menart remodelled the interior and added the dome over the crossing in 1916. The painting by Dubois over the altar was gifted to Father Lovi for the church by Charles X of France. The church was built on a prominent site on the axis of Reidshaven Square.
