This dovecot stands at NJ 8724 0420. It is of rubble masonry, stands about 6.0m high to the wall-head, and is about 4.3m in diameter. The roof has collapsed into the interior.
Visited by OS (WDJ) 16 November 1961.
This circular dovecote measures about 4.3m in overall diameter and is constructed of random rubble masonry. The entrance, which is on the SSW, is framed by dressed stones and the jambs and lintel are chamfered. Above the doorway, immediately above the rat-ledge, there is an ogee window, and the conical roof has evidently been repaired since the last visit by the Ordnance Survey in 1961. Entry to the interior of the dovecote could not be gained on the date of visit.
Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, AJW), 25 February 1997.
