On the farm of Tulloch, below Southside of Clinterty, there is a cairn of stones in which is a stone, no 32 of those marking the marches of the Freedom Lands (NJ80NE 3). Alongside this stone is the original cup-marked boundary stone, erected before 1698.

NJ 8484 0989. The cairn mentioned above is a field-clearance heap. Boundary stone No.32 is a short rectangular granite stone with 32/ABD on its south face. Close to the north west side of this stone is the original boundary stone a large round boulder c.1.0m in diameter. On top of this boulder in the centre are two small cup-marks c. 1" (25mm) diameter and c. 2 1/2" (65mm) diameter respectively, and c. 4inches (102mm) apart.

This boundary stone is situated on the S side of a drain some 300m NNW of Tulloch farmsteading (NJ80NW 109). Rectangular in section, the stone is a block of dressed granite measuring by 0.3m by 0.19m at ground level and 0.8m in height. The upper part of the S face of the stone is bevelled, reducing its thickness to 0.1m at the top. On this bevelled face there are the incised letters ABD below the number 32.
Adjacent to the N side of the marker there is a large granite boulder bearing two circular holes, which is an earlier marker on the boundary of Aberdeen. The stone measures 1.15m from N to S by 0.9m transversely and 0.8m in height. The holes are set about 30mm apart, close to the S edge of its upper surface. That on the E measures about 90mm in diameter by 22mm in depth, and has near-vertical edges and a flat bottom. The other, which measures about 25mm in diameter by 20mm in depth and also has vertical sides, is probably no more than a socket for an iron fence-post.
