Description

This fragment conjoins Drainie 26 and represents the top of the right-hand side of a shrine panel of the type that combines corner posts and panel, and it may be part of the same monument as Drainie 23. It is carved in relief but are very worn. The ‘post’ has a roll-moulded border around a vertical panel of Stafford knots created in median-incised cords. On face C there is part of a groove, 65mm wide, designed to house a side panel.
