Standing Building Recording (18 September 2017)
NO 50169 36785 (Canmore ID: 192912) A Level 1 building survey was undertaken, 18 September 2017, prior to redevelopment which will result in a doocot’s incorporation into the design of a new house. The work recorded a small ‘Lectern’ style doocot of square plan and sandstone rubble construction with crowstep gables. Probably dating to the early 17th century, it would have originally possessed about 550 pigeon boxes.
