Activities

Watching Brief (4 August 2014)

A watching brief was maintained during the soil strip for the cable installation works associated with a wind turbine at Tillyfar, E of Little Hilton, Turriff. Aerial photographs had recorded cropmarks of possible ring ditch buildings nearby. A small segment of the top of the outer circumference of one of the ring ditches was identified directly below the cultivated topsoil removed in the soil strip of the cable trench. The feature was recorded and re-buried, being avoided by the cut for the cable. There were no associated finds.

Information from OASIS ID: mas1-207261 (J C Murray) 2014.
