NJ73NE 48 centred 793 373.

Low lying rigs running parallel to the River Ythan on a haugh on the E bank, with a wavelength of c. 5.5m and covering an area of 1 ha.

(Location cited as NJ 7930 3730). Air photography (AAS/80/08/S7/33, flown 10 October 1980 and BKS vertical NJ73N 2731167, flown 7 July 1977) has recorded an area of rig-and-furrow cultivation on a terrace at an altitude of 40m OD. The very substantial broad rigs run N-S and parallel to the river; the rigs are up to 4m broad but the furrows are quite narrow.
