An axe-hammer of diorite, 7 7/8" long, with a shaft-hole perforated from each face, on the same plane as the cutting edge, which is 2 13/16" across, was found at Fyvie. The butt tapers from all four sides above the shaft-hole, to a rounded edge. Exhibited at the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] by John Rae of Aberdeen, on 10 February 1890.
