NJ72SE 93 unlocated

A collection by the late John Kerr, Lily Cottage, Kemnay made between 1894 and 1928 included the following objects from the Inverurie and surrounding districts:-

29 Stone Axes

67 Flint Arrowheads

13 Stone Balls

53 Stone Whorls

6 Stone Hammers

6 Stone Anvils

5 Stone Buttons

22 Stone Pounders

1 Flint Saw

5 Quern Stones

5 Stone Moulds

2 Pivot Stones

and over a thousand worked flints.

Some of these are in Inverurie Museum and have been recorded individually where possible.

The collection of Inverurie Museum has been re-catalogued, but the new catalogue is incomplete and there is no easy system of identifying the new accession numbers of this artefacts.
