A farmstead comprising one unroofed long building and an attached enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Orkney and Shetland (Shetland) 1882, sheet ii). One partially roofed building and an attached enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

HP 6550 1650 - HP 5650 0050 A walkover survey in advance of refurbishment to the 11Kv hydro-electric line was undertaken in 1999. The following sites were identified:
HP 6091 1424 Croft ruins.
HP 6093 1434 Outbuilding remains.
