Clydesdale Bank, 2 The Square/Gordon Street, 1842, Archibald Simpson. Accomplished granite ashlar North of Scotland Bank on a prominent corner site. Two strong, sophisticated facades - that to Gordon Street has a complex, three-arched centre with four windows above; that to the Square, three windows, central door with chimney gable over comprising alternating podia and panels in a powerful, tiered arrangement.
