(NJ 7347 2952) Stone Cist found AD 1865 (NAT)

OS 6" map, (1959)

A stone cist containing burnt bones was found in 1865, whilst clearing away a part of the rock for the foundations of the new steading. It consisted of rough blocks of stone or flags with a large cap-stone.

Name Book 1867.

No further information.

Visited by OS (RL) 19 February 1969.

Nothing is now visible of this cist, which was found in 1865 when the foundations of a new steading were laid.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 5 May 1999.
