Whilst excavating a gravel pit, two urns containing charred bones and ashes were found.

Name Book 1867.

No further information.

Visited by OS (RL) 19 February 1969.

The present whereabouts of these urns, which were found before 1867, are not known. Nothing is visible of the gravel-pit in which the urns were found, and its site now lies in a cultivated field.
