Archaeology Notes

NJ71NW 31 c. 743 182

(Location cited as NJ 743 182). An unfinished polished stone macehead, a perforated hone and a loom weight, found on Mosshead Farm, are in the possession of Miss A R Cook, 61 Bonnymuir Place, Aberdeen.

DES 1975.

These objects are still in the possession of Miss AR Cook, although she now lives at 51 Sunnyside Road, Aberdeen. In a telephone conversation (17 December 1997) Miss Cook stated that, although the unfinished polished stone macehead was bought by her father at a sale at Mosshead Farm, it may not have been found there; its exact provenance must, therefore, be considered unknown.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS), 17 December 1997.
