A stone axe from Fetternear (NJ 72 17) was an item in the Rae collection, which was auctioned in 1892.

The present whereabouts of a stone axe from Fetternear, which was sold at auction in 1892, is unknown.

(Classification amended to stone axes). In addition to the stone axe from Fetternear that was sold at auction in 1892 and is now lost, there is another axe from Fetternear in Marischal Museum, Aberdeen (ABDUA: 19808).
