Archaeology Notes

NJ71NW 10 c. 72 17.

A leaf-shaped flint implement, 2 3/4" x 1 1/4", found at Fetternear (NJ 72 17) was purchased for the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1892 from the collection of the late John Rae.

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1893.

The Royal Museum of Scotland has no record of a leaf-shaped flint arrowhead from Fetternear, but they have a have a spearhead (RMS: AA 74).
