Camies' Grave, supposed to be the burial-place of a Danish leader killed nearby (at the Camies' Stone - NJ71NE 5), is a cist, 4ft by 2ft, containing, when opened a few years since, only a few black ashes.

OS Name Book 1867.

The cist-cover and one of its supports were seen by Coles (1902).

No evidence of cist or cover was seen.

Visited by OS (RD), 10 March 1964.

The site of this cist lies in a cultivated field 200m W of Braeside farmsteading on the S-facing crest of a low rounded hill.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 2 October 1996.
