OS 25" map, (Banffshire), (1928)

A Holy Well, dedicated to St Peter.

Name Book 1866.

This well was located on the precipitous overgrown slope of a natural gully. After much difficulty, what appears to be a natural spring was found in the dense undergrowth at approximately the position shown on the OS map. The Rev A A Mullo-Weir, Forglen Manse, could offer no further information other than the well being known locally as 'St Peter's Well'.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 9 September 1964.

No change.

Visited by OS (RL) 4 September 1967.
