Activities

Field Visit (May 2022)

HY 34276 14879 A walkover survey was conducted in May 2022, of three sites identified as a farmstead (Site 1 – Canmore ID: 182933) and two possible crannogs. The first crannog, (Site 2 – Canmore ID: 307263) lies closest to the farmhouse and the second crannog, Site 3, is listed as a possible chapel (Canmore ID: 2156). Site 2 is noted on Canmore as a natural feature, but upon the visit, it was noted that the platform appears to be bounded by several courses of stone walling and there is a small stone feature with orthostats within the loch immediately to the W.
