HY 2426 2838. Structural remains were unearthed to the side of the steps to the beach when the former DoE hut was dismantled.

C D Morris (VESARP) 1979

In the cliff-side, overlying natural clay is a brown clayey soil containings shells, predominantly limpets, which is sealed by probable building rubble associated with a mixed brown clay soil. The rubble is overlain by sand, and a band of midden containing burnt material, which is associated with stone slabs at the E. All is sealed by sandy brown loam and topsoil. This is adjacent to F T Wainwright's excavation of 1960 and renewed excavations in Area 6 in 1980 (see HY22NW 12.00).
