Whilst trenching in 1861 an inverted urn was found, which broke on removal.

Name Book 1867.

No further information.

Visited by OS (RL) 7 March 1969.

(Name cited as Aulton).

The present whereabouts of this urn, which was found in 1861 in cultivated ground 320m S of Myreton farmsteading (NJ62NW 67), is not known.
