A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings annotated Ruins, one roofed building and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Berwickshire 1863, sheet i). Also shown is an L-shaped unroofed building annotated Cockburnspath Tower (Ruins of) (NT76NE 2.00).

The tower and two enclosures, one of which is incomplete are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1977).
