Rectangular plan, harled with thin margins, 4 round-arched windows S. flank, 3 small square windows at ground and gallery level N. flank. Plain doorways with venetians above in gables, birdcage bellcote with ball finial at W. Later session house at S.E. Re-roofed, re-fitted reglazed in late Victorian times, U-plan gallery on cast-iron columns. (Historic Scotland)

A war memorial, presented by Mrs Charlotte Young, the wife of a local banker, in 1919 was erected in St Andrews Church (NJ95SW 12). When St Andrews church was closed the war memorial was removed to the current Strichen parish church (NJ95NW 49).
