(NJ 5034 4382) Gallon of Water (NAT)

TBFC 1884.

The "Gallon o' Water" is a pool in a rock on the top of the Bin Hill, the waters of which were at one time believed to be medicinal. Some small offering was always left by the visitors, such as pins, buttons, nails etc.

J Pirie 1906.

The pool, seven inches deep, lies at the foot of outcrop rock on the summit of The Bin hill, the pool measures 1.4m by 1.0m and is formed by a spring.
