HY30SE 3 35564 04173

Four concrete plinths forming the base of a radio mast are situated above the high water mark on the southern tip of Toy Ness. One metal fixing point is still in situ.

The mast and base is visible on RAF vertical air photographs (LEU/ UK14, 5078-5079, 21 June 1949).

Field Visit (1998)

Four concrete plinths are set in the ground forming a cross-shape. Each measures 1.4m by 1.4m and has a metal fixing attached to the upper surface. The nearest plinth stands 5m from the coast edge.
