OS 6" map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd ed., (1901)

A stone cist found here by the present farmer, Mr Alexander Henderson, in 1837. It was filled with black earth and pieces of bone.

Name Book 1866.

No further information.

Visited by OS (NKB) 20 September 1967.

(Name cited as Muir of Seggieden).

NMRS, MS/712/52.

Nothing is now visible of this cist, which was found in 1837; its site lies in an arable field 280m SSW of Holywell farmsteading (NJ52NE 74).
