The farmstead of Humphry lies 500 m SE of Garnschog (Pulnasky) township NX25SE_47. Within an enclosing oval head dyke are a byre dwelling with a rectangular enclosure to the W; the byre dwelling can be seen to be of at least two phases of construction. Some 50m SW of the byre dwelling is a small rectangular enclosure and large clearance cairns to the SE. Areas of rig cultivation survive within the head dyke and a linear stone spread at the NE corner may predate the construction of the head dyke.
The farmstead lies at the centre of a more extensive field system marked as ‘Old Walls’ on the OS First edition map (Wigtonshire 1850, sheet 25). The field system comprises a series of low, irregular stone dykes which form conjoined enclosures. There is a small cairnfield within the W enclosure associated with a two-compartment structure. A further two small rectangular structures, possibly shepherds huts or cabins, lie within the S part of the field system. Incorporated into the NW side of the head dyke is a two-compartment sheep shelter with an outshot to the NW.
Immediately outside the SE corner of the head dyke is a low, curving spread of stone, some 2m wide, which runs NE and is then covered by peat. It may be the remains of large enclosure wall pre-dating both the head dyke associated with the farmstead and field system.
