Only slight earthworks survive of a gun-emplacement, to the N of the sharp bend in the minor road to the E side of Flotta.Built for a 4.7-inch gun emplacement, the gun mounting being transferred in 1940 from the Stanger head Battery (ND39SE 11.00). The gun site was placed on a Care and Maintenance basis in 1944 (PRO WO 192/259).
