Union Bridge [NAT]

(Location cited as NJ 427 508). Union Bridge, erected 1770, widened 1816, enlarged and partly rebuilt 1872. A single segmental arch with rustic ashlar voussoirs and spandrels, and small castellated corner towers. The original (1770) arch can be seen beneath later accretions.

The remains of the military bridge, which was built in 1770 and includes a stone inscribed 'G.III R.R.S. 1770', are incorporated in the modern bridge, which was widened in 1816 and partly rebuilt in 1912 according to a plaque.

This bridge carries Regent Street over the River Isla near the centre of Keith.
