Description:

Mid/late 19th century traditional Skye cottage; rubble;

single storey, 3 bays. Centre door with single window to left

(north). Door to right hand bay; end stacks; deteriorating

thatched roof with additional felt covering.

Notes:

Gable ended; may have had piended roof and have had gables

carried up to chimneys at later stage. Righthand bay could

have been byre end.

Poor condition. For group value only.

Part of a 19th century crofting and fishing village with a good group of traditional Skye dwellings, though most are now roofless. (M.Miers)
