Uiginish, 18th century. Broad-gabled tacksman's house on bleak headland facing Dunvegan Castle across Loch Follart. Farm buildings include a rare poultry house, 1843-5, built by Thomas Clapperton; a pyramidal-roofed tower with flight-holes rises from its top like a chimney; below, the henhouse is served with a small grate.
