OS 6" map 1959.

A large, unnamed cairn of stones and earth similar to those at Cairnmore (NJ44SW 5 and NJ44SW 6 NJ44SE 11).

Name Book 1871.

A cairn of bare stones 18.5m in diameter and 2.0m high, partially robbed from the E and encroached upon by a ruinous modern stone wall in the S arc.

Revised at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (ISS) 28 November 1972.

Activities

Field Visit (26 March 1990)

This cairn is set in a commanding position on the crest of Both Hill, with fine views eastwards down the Deveron valley towards Huntly; it measures about 17.5m in diameter by 1.8m in height and is crossed from E to W by an old field-dyke.
