Tower Buildings, 2-14 Possil Road and Farnell Street, 1875

At the foot of a steep hill, once known as Garscube Cross, Renaissance three-storey warehouse above shops, for ironfounder James Allen of Elmbank Foundry on the canal. Corner emphasised by conical roof. In the 1930s the top floor became the Tower Ballroom.
