OS 6" map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd ed., (1902)

There were no remains of the bridge in 1866. It is traditionally associated with Robert Bruce's Queen hiding under the arch in 1306, shortly after the battle of Methven, when pursued from Kildrummy Castle.

Name Book 1866.

No further information.

Visited by OS (RL) 28 September 1967.
