A small cist, containing skeletal remains, found in clearing a cairn near Ord Hill by a tenant of Ord Farm circa 1846.

Name Book 1866.

Visited by OS (NKB) 2 October 1967.

This heavily-robbed cairn is situated 470m W of Upper Ord steading (NJ42NE 113), at the SW end of Ord Hill, a low, but prominent ridge aligned NE and SW. The cairn has been reduced to little more than a stony rim measuring about 10m in overall diameter; on the SE, where it is best preserved, the rim of cairn material measures about 2.4m in thickness and 0.4m in height.
