(NJ 4816 2708) Stone Cist found (NAT)

OS 6" map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd ed., (1902)

A cist, containing skeletal remains, found circa 1851, by the tenant of Ord Farm, in removing a cairn.

Name Book 1866

No further information.

Visited by OS (NKB) 2 October 1967.

Nothing is now visible of this cairn, which lay in an arable field 420m ESE of Templand steading (NJ42NE 79). On the date of visit its site was under a crop of young barley.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, IF) 24 May 1996.
