Archaeology Notes

NJ41SW 22 c. 44 12.

A small cairn in a field near Towie Castle formerly marked the burial place of David Prat, a covenanter, shot in 1639. It had disappeared before 1887 when the governors of Gordon's Hospital declined to erect a headstone to mark the spot, as requested by Milne.
