Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey public house on corner site.

Harled with painted ashlar dressings. Quoin strips and base course; regular fenestration. 3 bays to Mill Square; gabled centre bay with door at ground. 4-bay return elevation to Bridge Street with 5 windows and 2 doors at ground Multi-pane leaded windows at ground; modern timber plate glass

windows at 1st floor. Piended roof at corner with concrete tiles; separate

pitched roof to Bridge Street with grey slates; brick stack to gable.

Catrine was built to provide housing for the local mill which formerly adjoined Mill Square to the W. B Group with Nos 32-40 Mill Square.
