(Area: NJ 4705 1720) Between the motte and church of Kildrummy along the ridge was a village which was a burgh of barony in 1377. It flourished until the 17th century when it fell into decay and has now totally disappeared though field-names preserve its main features, such as Boroughmuir, Milltown, Malt Croft, Tolbooth, Schoolhill and Gallowshillock.

W D Simpson 1928 and 1943.

No local information.

Visited by OS (N K B) 20 September 1968.

Nothing is visible of the Medieval burgh of Kildrummy, which is thought to have extended across the arable fields between Kildrummy Church (NJ41NE 39) and Castle Hillock (NJ41NE 16).

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, ATW), 6 June 1997.
